'Oasis for Dance' Belly dance Classes with Dallia
Bellydance teaching and performing
We are a belly dance school that cares about your well being.
Belly dance also known as ‘Oriental Dance' or ‘Raks Sharki' in Arabic is one of the most feminine dance form and balm for heart and soul.
It is the new fitness solution for busy women with the 'fun factor'; bellydancing comes with great music, exciting moves, noisy coin belts and its own special dress code. You don't need a dance partner and can feel free to move. Safety-wise, the emphasis on posture, core stability and mastery of technique makes bellydancing a low impact workout that tones and conditions the body - in keeping with a very modern approach to fitness, in fact!
A woman learns with belly dance to accept herself and her femininity and obtains a new physical awareness. Bellydance is a beautiful form of self-expression and creativity. Through bellydancing a woman discovers teh beauty and teh strength that lie within her. Furthermore belly dancing creates a release of everyday stress and energises body and mind. We overcome the media imposed image that every woman has to be slim and needs to have the ‘ideal' figure.
Oasis for Dance is offering belly dance classes and workshops in different locations around central Auckland.
Oasis for Dance teaches women only, but belly dance can also be done by men. Read this article 'Oriental Dance: It isn't just for women' to get more information on male bellydance.
